For My Dad

i made this card because the image reminds me of some cartoons he drew for the newspaper where he worked. also, the sentiment is perfect –  he’ll make those early morning doctor appointments when he has to; he just won’t be cheerful about it because he’s not an early riser.

everything is coloured with distress ink pads and i’m submitting this to the father’s day themes at the art impressions challenge and the flourishes timeless tuesday challenge. thanks for popping by.

  1. Oh Linda, how darling is this. What a grand winning card for AI and Flourishes’ challenges. I’ve never used this image but seeing what you’ve done with it, tempts me to pull it out. Your dad was a graphic illustrator/artist? OMGosh, how wonderful. I bet you have lots and lots of his illustrations. Anyone who has any art work from you family needs to hang on to it forever … it will be worth oodles and oodles of loot one day! Hope your dad’s health is back to 100%. He should get a huge chuckle out of this, and I’m thinking, when he looks at your coloring, he’ll say to himself, “she’s a chip off the old block alright.” May he have many more Father’s Day celebrations. Hugs, Anne

  2. Linda! What a great card! I always just love Norm and the sentiment is great for Father’s Day! Thanks for joining us at Art Impressions this week!
