Somebunny Loves You

whimsy bunnies

if you know me, i can’t resist cute bunny images so i had to get crissy armstrong’s funny bunnies digi stamp set. i combined two images to create this adorable couple that is watercoloured with distress ink pads. i used pink stickles on the shorts and die cut hearts and white flocking on their tails.

i’d like to submit it to these challenges:
whimsy inspirations challenge No. 70 anything goes
crafty little fairies – furry friends
great impressions – pink, polka dots, glitter

thanks for popping by.

Easel Card Calendar

easel calendar card

you might remember that i won daniela’s blog candy (stempelbavaria) in february and these mini calendars were included. my creativity schedule usually depends on my RA, but i was voluntold to be on a committee with a very aggressive project timeline until the end of june so my fun time is limited and i apologize for not keeping up with my commenting. i did finally manage to create an easel card calendar and i don’t think the recipient will mind that it’s april already. i die cut the tiny green memory box birds to put at the top and stamped the thanks from the impression obsession hydrangea set on the tab from MFT die-namics blueprints 9.

i’d like to submit this to these challenges:
loves rubberstamps – challenge #100 fancy folds
papercrafting journey  easel card
a little bit crafty – the birds and the bees
crafty hazelnut’s patterned paper – anything goes
crafty sentiments design – fancy folds
craft your passion challenges – pretty pastels

Penny Black And More Mid April

penny black chicadee blossoms

this is my mid month card for the penny black and more challenge for this month’s blossoms and blooms theme. i coloured the penny black image, Chic-a-dee Blossoms 202K, with derwent inktense pencils and added stickles to the flower centres. just a reminder that you can use any companies stamped image for your focal point, just no digis, to play along with us for some fabulous prizes;  i hope you’ll join the fun. thanks for popping by.

From The Heart

penny black rose

welcome to a new follower; thank you so much for taking an interest in what i create.

i discovered a new unique challenge, poppy sketches, that is a sketch and colour challenge; i was curious to see how the red would work with teal and gray and i like how it turned out. i stamped the penny black image on a gesso covered piece of the dark gray paper and coloured with derwent inktense pencils which, as their name implies, are intense. if you haven’t tried them, they’re used the same as watercolour pencils, but they’re permanent ink so colours won’t get muddy. i tore the dark and light gray mats, stamped the flourishes sentiment and cut the heart from a whimsy paper pattern to make this note card. thanks for popping by.

Easter Bunny

cheery lynn bunny

making a tent card has been on my ‘must try this’ list for some time and i finally got around to making one; i followed beate’s tutorial and liked her window card so much that i borrowed that idea too. i’m submitting this to the cheery lynn designs challenge for their anything goes theme this week since i used two cheery lynn designs dies: the nesting egg dies and grass border. i added some pink to the bunny’s ears, a black dot for his eye and a white pom pom to his tail.

i’m also playing along with simply create too #59 no digis or stamped images.

every year i mention how bunnies should not be purchased for easter unless someone is willing to make a ten year commitment, so it’s time for another round of awareness with easter approaching.

penny black stickeroo
it’s the first sunday of the month and time for a new theme at the penny black and more challenge and we’d like to see blossoms and blooms. this is my DT card and it is one of the fastest cards i’ve ever made; i used a floral sticker from the penny black stickeroos collage flowers #10-147 sheet, stamped the penny black letter background 1999L in black ink on the pink paper, distressed the edges and added a strip of floral paper on the bottom.

remember, you can use any company’s image for your focal point; just no digis, so come and join us! for inspiration from my very creative teammates, and to check out the fabulous prizes, visit the blog here. thanks for popping by.
