Christmas Kisses

i gave these cute Lawn Fawn tiny gift boxes to one of my specialist’s office staff; they hold one chocolate Lindt truffle or in this case, they’re stuffed with four Hershey kisses.

the papers are doodlebug and i white heat embossed a tiny tag sayings sentiment on the circle die that comes with the die set.

i’m playing along with the LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 65 – FUN WITH DIES! and the Scrapy Land Challenges #126 – Always Anything Goes with Die Brand SL sells; Lawn Fawn.

Bear Bookmark

i’m playing along with the October 2019 Paper Smooches Challenge to be inspired by the Design Team creations.

paper smooches bear bookmark in pink and purple copyright linda snailzpace.com

karin’s bookmark inspired me because of the transition of colours and the comical bird at the bottom. i painted the cute paper smooches bear from the courteous cuties stamp set with twinkling H2Os on hot press watercolour paper and fussy cut him. i used the same paper smooches bookmark die but i shortened it, sponged it with distress inks and splattered and stamped the sentiment from the same set.

Small Christmas Cards For Rudolph Days Challenge

it’s my turn to create a project for the August Rudolph Days Challenge, hosted by Maureen.

i was going to post each little card individually, but i think they show up well enough in the group photo.

i love using small images on tags but this time i made a set of six 3 inch cards and a box following this tutorial. these cute little images are from the Clearly Besotted ‘shake it up’ clear stamp set that i painted with twinkling H2Os on hot pressed watercolour paper and fussy cut. the pretty papers are from the Penny Black Christmas 6 x 6 Paper Pad Festive and Frosty and the sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder. i used a white gel pen for the snow and added glitter to each snow mound. the dots were made with a mama elephant border die.

remember you have until the end of the month to play along for a generous prize and, as always, it’s an anything goes christmas theme. i know, it’s summer and maybe it’s too early to think about holiday cards, but there are only 3 Rudolph Days Challenges before Christmas – will you be ready?

Interactive Mini Album

it was so much fun to create this little album even if i did make a big mess. the current LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 58 is INTERACTIVE so i had to be creative with their products since i don’t have many of their interactive dies.

mini album

i used lawn fawn’s spring fling papers, the LF Stitched Gift Card Pocket to create the pocket fronts and the front flap shape and a variety of embellishments all listed at the end of this post.

i used the LF Tag You’re It die to cut the pages, trimming off the top portion and turning them upside down. i used random cute images and painted them with twinkling H2Os on hot pressed watercolour paper.

the lemons were fussy cut and the chipmunk masked to allow for splatters.

i used a silver glitter pen on the flute and a clear gloss pen on the horn.

the floral card opens up and this is the inside:

the flap was sponged with distress ink and opens to reveal these little cuties, fussy cut, along with the log and two yellow flowers cut from the paper:

the album closes with a small magnet.

i’m also playing along with Scrapy Land Challenge #119 and its anything goes theme using dies sold at their store.

lawn fawn bunny boxes linda snailzpace.com

bonus, i had to get some Lindt chocolates, because they each hold one. i used the lawn fawn bunny add-on die and sponged some pink distress ink onto the cheeks.

i’m playing along with these challenges:

LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 52 – PET LOVE, which of course is for my grand bunnies.

As You Like It Challenge Favourite Non Card Project (& why): i love making 3D items like this cute lawn fawn tiny gift box; people love the treat inside but also love hanging on to the box to use or to give to someone else. i’m always surprised how something so little can bring such happiness to the recipients.

Burgundy Bookmark

since it’s the first sunday of a new month, we have a new theme at the Penny Black and More Challenge: Feminine with an anything goes option.

thank you bookmark copyright linda snailzpace.com

i used a penny black wooden stamp called ‘kindness’ and the penny black petite blossoms stencil with  TCW champagne gold modelling paste to create this bookmark. i also used some crinkle burgundy ribbon, linen burgundy cardstock and the paper smooches bookmark die.

remember to be eligible for a prize from the generous sponsors, your creation must have a hand stamped focal point, although it can be any company’s image.

Three Tags For Penny Black And More

just a little reminder that there is still time to play along with us at the Penny Black and More challenge and the february theme of anything goes with the option of a tag.

i made three tags since they were quick and easy. i used coloured pencils and the cupcake and sentiment from the penny black party time clear stamp set, die cut with the lawn fawn say what? critter tag die set and added glitter to the icing.

remember, you can use any hand stamped image as your focal point to be eligible for a prize from our generous sponsors: Penny Black and Crafts U Love; if you do make a tag you’ll be entered twice.

Tag It At Penny Black And More

it’s the first sunday of a new month so we have a new theme for you to play along with at the Penny Black and More challenge: Anything goes with the option of Tags.

i’ve painted a cute mouse from the penny black santa’s helpers stamp set with twinkling H2Os on hot pressed watercolour paper; i also painted the purple ombre on the frame and the ribbon.

remember, you can use any hand stamped image as your focal point to be eligible for a prize from our generous sponsors: Penny Black and Crafts U Love.

Holly Prezzie

i used my scor-pal to create this different style of box for a christmas prezzie.

i followed this tutorial; this lid tucks in behind the poinsettia that was die cut from red cardstock and i added some glitter glue.

i’m playing along with the Scor-Pal More than One Score Challenge #55 December Anything Goes Christmas.

wishing everyone a peaceful holiday season and the best of everything for 2019!

12 Tags Of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2018 Day 9

i did it; i have 12 tags and your inbox can take a break.

the day 9 theme for the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 Challenge is my favourite:

Day 9 Twelve Tags Ellen Hutson 2018 copyright linda snailzpace.com-1-1

Kelly’s tag inspired me with the whimsical foxes and bright pretty colours. i painted a wash on hot pressed watercolour paper with my own custom colour of twinkling H2Os and then painted the penny black mice with the twinks as well.

the day 5 theme for the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 Challenge is:

Therese’s tag inspired me; i love the trees, especially the pink one with the raised dots. i die cut impression obsession trees from green glitter paper, attached them to white glitter paper and added some holographic peel off dots, some coloured with permanent markers.

12 Tags Of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2018 Day 8

the day 8 theme for the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 Challenge is:

Day 8 Twelve Tags Ellen Hutson 2018 copyright linda snailzpace.com-1-1-1

Sharon’s tag inspired me; i love the bird image with the greenery and her fussy cutting is amazing. of course with my hands, that would pose a problem so i used a coordinating die for my stampendous bird image; the holly are die cut too. i painted with twinkling H2Os, sponged a background with distress inks and added some pink and gold frantage.

12 Tags Of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2018 Day 10

the day 10 theme for the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 Challenge is:

Julie’s tag inspired me; i love her mittens, the turquoise and the snowflakes added to the wrapping paper. i die cut these tiny poppystamps mittens from leftover alcohol ink backgrounds i made for my day 1 tag. i added snowflake stickers and stamped the sentiment. i might add white twine to the blue ribbon later when i have more time.

thanks for popping by.

12 Tags Of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2018 Day 4

the day 4 theme for the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 Challenge is:

Day 4 Twelve Tags Ellen Hutson 2018 copyright linda snailzpace.com

Justine’s tag inspired me with the cute critters in a circle. i rarely heat emboss and never with images so i heat embossed the snowflake background and the sentiment. everything was painted with tombow markers on hot pressed watercolour paper and popped on foam tape.

i’m also playing along with the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 42 – Winter Holiday.

12 Tags Of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2018 Day 3

the day 3 theme for the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 Challenge is:

kelly marie’s tag inspired me with all the glitter so i used plenty on my tag. i started by creating my northern lights, then die cut the lawn fawn stitched circle tag and with double sided adhesive i covered it in glitter. i added more glitter to the rooftops and trees and painted everything with tombow markers on hot pressed watercolour paper and used coordinating lawn fawn dies. all the windows, doors and clock were coated with a clear glaze pen and all the images were popped on foam tape.

thanks for popping by.

12 Tags Of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2018 Day 2

i wasn’t able to start creating tags on day 1 because i wasn’t feeling well so i may have to double up on my posts if i’m to get them all done; i apologize in advance if you’re inundated with emails.

the day 2 theme for the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 Challenge is:

be inspired by this Pinterest piece:

Day 2 Twelve Tags Ellen Hutson 2018 copyright linda snailzpace.com

Carissa’s tag inspired me; i loved her white ink sentiment stamping on black, the sparkle gems and the greenery. i stamped the penny black text background, heat embossed with white embossing powder, added a poinsettia sponged with green distress ink and some green gems. i used a penny black stencil on the kraft edge which i accidentally sponged over when i tried to move the stencil but i liked it so it was a happy accident.

12 Tags Of Christmas With A Feminine Twist 2018 Day 1

this is the fifth year i’ve created tags for the annual Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 Challenge and it’s an event that i love playing along with.

the day 1 theme is:

Day 1 Twelve Tags Ellen Hutson 2018 copyright linda snailzpace.com

Carolyn’s tag inspired me; i love how she divided up her tag into sections and i really liked the pink so i started with pink alcohol ink on glossy white paper but then i added purple and gold so more of those show. the watercolour paper poinsettia was smooshed into gold twinkling H2Os on a craft mat and the sentiment finished it off.  i had to photograph this off to the side because of the purple mirri paper reflections.

Special Birthday Treat

i’m cutting it close to submit this to the More than One Score at Scor-Pal #54 – Special Birthdays challenge.

triangle candy holder copyright linda snailzpace.com

i love making these triangle boxes; no dies, just a rectangle and you can customize the size. the length is double the width, so i used my scor-pal to score a 3″ x 6″ rectangle in half and then four more scores. it’s probably easier to watch the video tutorial here.

I Love Fall

i really miss creating and i feel like i’m rusty, but family comes first and i did manage to make this tag today.

lawn fawn fall fox copyright linda snailzpace.com

this cute fox from the lawn fawn into the woods stamp set was painted with twinkling H2Os on hot pressed watercolour paper; the sky, ground and speech bubble were sponged with distress inks. i flicked some water droplets into the sky. the sentiment is in the same set but the tag, speech bubble and eyelet were die cut with the new say what? gift tags die set – so cute!

Tiny Gift Boxes

these lawn fawn tiny gift boxes are just so fun and fast to make.

lawn fawn tiny box copyright linda snailzpace.com

i was lucky enough to win a lawn fawn gift card from the ‘as you like it challenge‘ so i couldn’t resist this cute die. a tiny bow is included in the set but because of my RA, my fingers just couldn’t manage that so i decorated with shaped and sponged flowers and buttons instead.

i’m playing along with these challenges:

As You Like It: Favourite Ribbons or Buttons – and WHY? i like both but it depends on the project i’m creating so this time i used buttons just because i like them for flower centres.

Cute Flower Bookmarks

i’v mentioned before how much i love making bookmarks and keeping my daughter stocked up for her textbooks.

the cute tiny lawn fawn smiley flower from the so much to say stamp set was stamped on some leftover scraps of hot pressed watercolour backgrounds and coloured with coloured pencils. i used an avery elle bookmark die and finished them off with white dots.

i’m submitting these to the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 31 – flowers, floral and foliage!

thanks for popping by.

Birthday Bookmark

i’m playing along with the impression obsession challenge foodie fun!

impression obsession food bookmark copyright linda snailzpace.com-1

i was going to mat this and attach to a narrow card base but as i was painting my husband asked who the bookmark was for. naturally, i said ok it’s done; quick and easy and perfect for when i’m short on time and energy.

the cakes image is from Celebrate (CL254), painted with twinkling H2Os and the sentiment is from More Basic Greetings (CL549).

Zinnia Bookmarks

welcome to some new followers! thank you for taking an interest in my creations.

i made some more bookmarks, colouring on kraft this time, still using a paper smooches bookmark die, and a retired flourishes stamp set but this time i coloured with laurentian colour pencils.

Make A Difference

i had fun getting inky again since i discovered the creative expressions sponges, reviewed here; now if only the distress ink pads were more useable for people with disabilities.

flourishes bookmarks copyright linda snailzpace.wordpress.com

i used a paper smooches bookmark die, a retired flourishes stamp set and three different stencils and distress inks to create these. my daughter has a lot of textbooks so i keep her well supplied with bookmarks; she likes these as they attach better and stay put because they are longer.

Pink Daisy Treat Box

this cardstock is very bright pink, which i love, but i think it looks more intense in the photo.

MFT daisy box copyright linda snailzpace.wordpress.com

i used my scor pal and followed the tutorial at pootles’ blog to create this little 2 inch box; the challenge is to find tiny treats to fit inside – maybe a couple of chocolate kisses. i sponged the my favorite things daisy with picked raspberry distress ink, using a creative expressions ‘mini smoothies’ blending sponge, and added flower soft to the centre; the box closes with a magnet.

Last Christmas Treats

this will be my last post for this year. thank you all for visiting and for taking the time to leave such kind words that always brighten my day.

i die cut over 100 of these cute Impression Obsession Christmas Icons for my daughter’s not for profit volunteer christmas get together where participants played with paper crafts. apparently, these were a really big hit with some making several for stocking stuffers.

i’m submitting these to the New Impression Obsession Challenge – Anything Goes!

wishing you a peaceful holiday, a happy new year and as always, thanks for popping by.
