This Is Huge

i made this card for my daughter, who i’m so proud of; she’s worked hard to reach a goal that will enable her to continue her studies because she was way above the cut off mark.

i painted this happy Art Impressions stamp, appropriately called this is huge with twinkling H2Os and also painted the background after i stamped the hero arts stamp and heat embossed it. i used one of the sentiments on the front and the other on the inside – you did it!

Jingle All The Way – Mixing It Up And Day 1 Tag

i’m off to a slow start, but i managed to create a tag for both Ellen Hutson’s December Mix It Up Challenge and Day 1 of the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist.

since both Laurel Beard and Sandy Allnock used coloured images on their festive tags, i was inspired to do the same.

i painted everything with winsor & newton watercolour paints, using a light wash of teal in the background and it’s also used to create an ombre sentiment from the Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamps, All Inside by Julie Ebersole. i love Maude, an older Art Impressions cling stamp; i added pink stickles to her curlers and glossy accents to the smiley face.

For My Dad

i made this card because the image reminds me of some cartoons he drew for the newspaper where he worked. also, the sentiment is perfect –  he’ll make those early morning doctor appointments when he has to; he just won’t be cheerful about it because he’s not an early riser.

everything is coloured with distress ink pads and i’m submitting this to the father’s day themes at the art impressions challenge and the flourishes timeless tuesday challenge. thanks for popping by.
