this is a scheduled post; due to a family emergency, i haven’t had much time to create or pop by to comment. i wanted to make a get well card and realized i don’t have enough images for these occasions (any excuse for shopping), but i do like this funny from the heart stamps called ‘sick chick‘.
of course he’s watercoloured with twinkling H2Os and since it’s for a male, i left it clean and simple, using his favourite colours.

you might remember that i recently purchased some from the heart digital birdbrain images and this little cutie was free with a purchase. since i need a birthday card for someone who loves all things irish, it’s perfect. this week’s twist is to not use designer paper/just cardstock. i tried. it’s funny that when i first started making cards about six years ago, almost all of my cards were clean and simple and designer paper intimidated me – so many patterns and colours; and now i’m challenged by CAS.

i’m playing along with this week’s i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #no.70. the bird is coloured with distress ink pads and twinkling H2Os and both the image and hearts are popped on foam tape; i coated the candle with glossy accents. i reached a milestone birthday this week and i was kind of dreading it, but someone reminded me that it’s just a number – maybe i feel older than the number. lol. thanks for popping by.

i just bought some of these cute birdbrain chick digi images and i had so much fun watercolouring this poor sick chick with my twinkling H2Os. i followed this week’s from the heart stamps challenge no. 68, (i rotated it) and used one of two sentiments that came with the image. i’d also like to submit this to addicted to stamps challenge 97 make your mark and paper crafting challenges – my favourites are watercolouring cute and whimsical images. thanks for popping by.
