Bunny Love

a combination of my disabilities and demands on my time have kept me away from creating lately but i had to play along with the Impression Obsession challenge and it’s bunny love theme; bunnies are so sweet.

io-bunnies-spring.copyright-linda-snailzpace.com_.jpg

after i created the white easel base with my scor-pal, i sponged the sky with blue distress inks; the impression obsession fence (DIE206-V) and impression obsession bunnies (DIE664-T) were cut with kraft paper, also sponged with DI.

i sponged green corrugated paper and attached the bunnies  to the back and the picket fence  to the front with strips of foam tape; i usually paint woodgrain so i love that this die embosses it for me in one pass through the die cut machine.

i stamped the spring (MC657) in versafine deep lagoon onto a strip of white cardstock and added the die cut wishes (DIE364-E), also sponged with DI – thank goodness my tear drop sponges are easy on my hands. to finish it off, the sentiment strip was attached with foam tape.

Holly Prezzie

i used my scor-pal to create this different style of box for a christmas prezzie.

i followed this tutorial; this lid tucks in behind the poinsettia that was die cut from red cardstock and i added some glitter glue.

Christmas Shadow Box Card

i made my first shadow box card with my scor-pal and it was fun to create! i’m playing along with the LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 41 – SHAPED CARDS which ends in 7 hours.

i followed jennifer mcguire’s video tutorial and i kept the front of the card clean and simple, masking words from the say what? christmas critters to fit with the merry from the happy happy happy add on die cut from a piece of tree paper in the lawn fawn really rainbow christmas 6 x 6 paper; the thin dotted strip is from the same paper pad and it was attached to a lime green base.

i painted this cute teddy with twinkling H2Os on hot pressed watercolour paper and die cut using the coordinating die; the stitched circle tag die was used to create an ornament window and i added a small bow. i used blue distress inks and oxide inks to create the sky, splattered with water.

A Tiny Christmas Treat Bag

i had so much fun making the treat bag yesterday that i made another but this one is tiny; it measures 2 x 2 inches.

i used my scor pal and followed the tutorial at pootles’ blog to create this one.

Christmas Treat Bag

it feels strange to be working on christmas projects when we’ve had record breaking high temperatures. even though today it ‘felt like’ 110 degrees fahrenheit, days are passing quickly so i need to keep creating for christmas.

i used my scor pal to make one of these 2-5-7-10 Boxes for the first time; i’ll know better next time to align the stripes more evenly. i think it took longer to tie the bow than it did to cut and score just because of my hands,  but i’m pleased with how it turned out and will make more.

Back To School Supplies

today i’m sharing a little card that holds some extra goodies.

i die cut the paper smooches lights die from purple mirri, added some yellow twinkling H2O and stamped the sentiment from the christmas sampler clear set. i’m submitting this card to the Paper Smooches challenge where anything goes for July and August.

i used the paper smooches bookmarks dies to create some coordinating bookmarks.

i’m playing along with the August Scor-Pal More than One Score Challenge #40 to create 3D cards. i used my scor pal and my scor buddy to create this tent card and to custom design the box on the back to hold a small pencil and the bookmarks.

and, since this is for my daughter heading back to school, i’m also submitting this to the back to school challenge at simon says wednesday along with the anything goes theme at Dies R Us #79

Christmas Treat Boxes

i used my scor-pal to create these triangle boxes for the scor-pal august challenge: “more than one score” – food for thought. these are so quick to make and the size can be easily changed to fit any treat; these will hold a small amount of hershey kisses. i just added stamped and matted sentiments and ribbon.

Lemonade Mice

i’m playing along with the “More Than One Score” Scor-pal Challenge #5 and this month’s theme of bright and sunny. I searched for quick and easy cards since i was short on time and i found this cute card by Diane Zechman so i used my Scor-pal and cased the design; i tried to change the pointed edge with a die cut shape, but none would fit.

i watercoloured these Penny Black images with Twinkling H2Os, Derwent Inktense Pencils and Distress Ink pads; i cut the lemons out since i used watercolour paper and used a velcro closure on the flap; this was a fun card to make.

EDIT: i was lucky enough to be a top three and last month’s scor-pal challenge winner for this card and my prize arrived just after i posted this today – thanks so much scor-pal for the Scor-Buddy and roll of tape!

Penny Black Botanical Notes

i created a z-fold card with my scor-pal for my mid month DT creation; this month’s penny black and more challenge theme is anything goes.

copyright-linda-snailzpace-wordpress-com-penny-black-botanical-notes-1
i love this penny black ‘botanical notes’ cling stamp because of the collage image that i always seem to have trouble creating. i watercoloured with distress ink pads, then stamped the flower twice more to cut and layer it. the thank you was die cut from my new penny black creative die set and a marianne design leaf flourish die. be sure to check out the beautiful creations from my team mates and the fabulous prizes on offer at the penny black and more challenge blog and remember, you can use any company’s stamped image as your focal point, just no digis.

i’d like to submit this card to these challenges:

Scor-pal – more than one fold with a stamped image
Crafty Little Fairies – In the Garden
A Little Bit Crafty – Flower Power
Country View Craft’s Challenge – Nature’s glories
One Crazy Stamper – Anything Goes & an Embellishment

Back To School Treat

now that my volunteer commitments have eased up a bit, i can get my fingers inky again, which i’ve really missed! i created this project for two challenges: the ribbon reel challenge – a back to school inspiration photo and the scor-pal challenge to make a box. i followed the instructions to make one like steph ackerman’s; this is a money gift for my daughter in university, but i think i’ll be making more for christmas treats.
