It’s OK

i created another card for the November Paper Smooches Challenge theme of anything goes but it’s also a Design Team Call.

pink heart on white card base with 'it's ok to not be ok' and 'one day at a time' paper smooches stamps

i started this card by tapping and swiping a piece of hot pressed watercolour paper onto a craft mat sprayed with Dylusions ‘crushed grape’ ink spray and spritzed with water. i stamped the sentiments from the Paper Smooches Inhale Exhale clear stamp set and heat embossed with white embossing powder. to finish it off, i splattered with white paint, used a heart die and offset it on the side of a white card base.

Best Buds Bouquet

i’m playing along with the November Paper Smooches Challenge theme of anything goes but it’s also a Design Team Call.

i painted this paper smooches Best Buds image with twinkling H2Os on hot press watercolour paper and added some nuvo key lime jewel drops. i rounded the corners and popped the image on foam tape to a piece of studio light designer paper. i left off a sentiment and it’s blank on this inside because that’s what my daughter requested.

Hugs

i enjoyed browsing through the design team blogs in search of inspiration for the Paper Smooches October challenge theme so i made another card.

Jill Hawkins’ card inspired me: she featured this adorable cactus from the paper smooches Comforting Hugs clear stamp set and i love her CAS layout and her attention to detail; i basically cased her card. i painted the cactus with twinkling H2Os on hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut and popped it on foam tape to a circle painted and splattered with watercolour paint. i stamped the hearts from the same stamp set and added glossy accents like Jill did.

Bear Bookmark

i’m playing along with the October 2019 Paper Smooches Challenge to be inspired by the Design Team creations.

karin’s bookmark inspired me because of the transition of colours and the comical bird at the bottom. i painted the cute paper smooches bear from the courteous cuties stamp set with twinkling H2Os on hot press watercolour paper and fussy cut him. i used the same paper smooches bookmark die but i shortened it, sponged it with distress inks and splattered and stamped the sentiment from the same set.

Sending A Big Hug

a sketch challenge is a great motivator for when i have difficulty designing a card so i used the Paper Smooches September 2019 SKETCH challenge layout.

i painted the dog from the Comforting Hugs stamp set with twinkling H2Os, fussy cut and attached it to a fun mini wobble. the paw hearts are from the Dinky Doodles 2 stamp set.

i’m also submitting this card to the Wednesday Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes theme.

Snow Buddy

since i really liked the teal and brown colours together on a recent thank you card, i used the combination for this christmas card.

jingle belle stephanie created a cute christmas card using the paper smooches snowman 2 die so i had to use the same die for my card. i cut him from hot pressed watercolour paper, painted with twinkling H2Os, paper pieced his hat and scarf and attached him with foam tape to a paper smooches gift tag 2 found at the PS website.

Cup Of Christmas Cheer

i’m slowly creating more christmas cards and this one was a lot of fun to make.

i used red card stock to die cut the paper smooches’ merry christmas die and cozy coffee die and cut the coffee die a second time from print paper to piece it back together before i popped it on foam tape. the heart die is included in the coffee die set so i cut it a couple of times and layered it with red glitter paper on top; all the supplies i used for this card can be found at the paper smooches website.

i made some more bookmarks, colouring on kraft this time, still using a paper smooches bookmark die, and a retired flourishes stamp set but this time i coloured with laurentian colour pencils.

Make A Difference

i had fun getting inky again since i discovered the creative expressions sponges, reviewed here; now if only the distress ink pads were more useable for people with disabilities.

i used a paper smooches bookmark die, a retired flourishes stamp set and three different stencils and distress inks to create these. my daughter has a lot of textbooks so i keep her well supplied with bookmarks; she likes these as they attach better and stay put because they are longer.

Gilded Leaves

happy thanksgiving to my american friends. i love using gilding flakes for leaves, even if they are a bit delicate to work with; no sneezing near this stuff.

i die cut the paper smooches foliage 1 leaves from black glossy paper, added the flakes and attached the panel to a sheet of memory box autumn themed paper bought years ago. the memory box a little thanks was also die cut from the black glossy paper.
