Day 1 Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge

this is the tag I created for day 1 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2021 Challenge, a fun challenge I’ve played along with since 2014.

I painted the mama elephant hot cocoa image with twinkling H2Os on Arches hot press watercolour paper, fussy cut, added nuvo shimmer pen to the cream dollop and popped it on foam tape. a Studio Katia slider tag die was used for the tag and the sentiment and a lawn fawn small snowflake was die cut to embellish the mug; I finished off with some free ribbon from Ellen Hutson.

Christmas Kisses

i gave these cute Lawn Fawn tiny gift boxes to one of my specialist’s office staff; they hold one chocolate Lindt truffle or in this case, they’re stuffed with four Hershey kisses.

the papers are doodlebug and i white heat embossed a tiny tag sayings sentiment on the circle die that comes with the die set.

Easter Treats

newton'sthe newton’s nook designs: inky paws challenge #5 is a sketch challenge; there are some really cute freebies that you can download to play along (and cute clear stamps to purchase) so i used the mittens to make this card. i coloured with pencil crayons, added red stickles to the hearts and used some leftover scraps that were the perfect size to complete this card. thanks for popping by.

Waiting For Christmas

i won a guest designer spot for the crafter’s companion challenge blog for october to december, but there were a few hiccups with the blog; this is my november card for the christmas/winter theme. i watercoloured this makey bakey mouse with distress inks and twinkling H2Os, added red glass beads to the holly, flower soft on the coat and stickles around the edge of the image rectangle. the red star was die cut from glitter paper and the december 25 star sentiment was stamped from the makey bakey mouse festive fun & frolics set and cut out by hand. the papers are doodlebug’s home for the holidays. thanks for popping by.

i’m playing along with the ‘springtime fun’ challenge at impression obsession; i thought this gardening bunny having fun in his carrot garden suited the theme – i’m still trying to decide if he’s planting or digging up. i coloured the image, Easter Bunny CL212, with distress ink pads and added a sentiment from Mini Messages MC176. thanks for popping by.

this is my DT card for papercraft cafe and i chose to use doodlebug’s ‘take note’ paper and an image from the penny black ‘a bear of all trades’ clear stamp set, which is a great set for father’s day or any time you need a masculine card. as usual, i coloured with distress ink pads and brush and i popped the memo and arrow which were both cut out from the paper pad. i’d also like to submit this to the following challenges:

welcome to my newest follower, jennifer! this is my march DT card for papercraft cafe; marie, the owner, has been patiently waiting for spring and we got snow today – luckily, it didn’t stay and i was able to make it to the store for some new goodies. i coloured this penny black image with distress ink pads and added stickles to the flower centres and bee.

this is my mid-month DT card for our pink, pearly and swirly theme this month at penny black and more. i coloured the Penny Black Garden Buggy, 1758E, with distress inks and twinkling H2Os and used my ek success swirly border punch. there are some fabulous prizes plus a chance to be a guest designer and you can use any company’s stamp, just no digis; hope you’ll play along.
