the penny black wood stamp a great surprise! consists of a series of three hedgies but i masked off the centre one since i only needed two for this card. i painted with twinkling H2Os, stamped the lawn fawn sentiment and used some colourful birthday papers for this fun card following this tutorial. as i was making it i thought i’d never do another but when it was finished i changed my mind.

i’m playing along with these challenges:

More than One Score at Scor-Pal #47 – April Fool Us

Pretty Peridot Leaves

i was inspired by Magenta Designer  and her stencilling with gesso technique on this card so i played with stencils today – something different for me.

copyright linda @ snailzpace.wordpress.com memory box leaves

i watercoloured the memory box die cut leaves with ‘pretty peridot’ twinkling H2Os. after the gesso dried, which didn’t take long because of the small design, i painted yellow twinkling H2Os onto the cold press watercolour paper, then sponged dried marigold distress ink on top, splattered with both pretty peridot twinks and some water. to finish it off, i sponged shabby shutters distress ink through the diamond stencil.

i’d like to submit this card to these challenges:

Memory Box Challenge #15- Yellow Challenge
Simon Says Stamp: Work it Wednesday July 2016! use august birthstone peridot
4CC #312 – LEAVES

i’m a cloud watcher and i love painting skies; this one was painted with my twinkling H2Os and i used all the inspiration colours – the orange is in the flower centres on the flip flops.

Birthday Prezzie

this little taylored expression present die is so cute that i created another birthday card with it; i used the taylored expressions’ share joy challenge 44: a sketch and clean and simple theme.

SJC44

i painted the prezzie with twinkling H2Os, added stickles to the dots and bow and popped it on foam tape; i used the sketch on the tag which was then attached to the card and the little flower from the little bits flip flop die fit nicely inside.

Presents For You

since caring for a family member, i’ve not had much time to create, other than scheduled posts, so i had fun making this birthday card for my daughter. i’m playing  along with the taylored expressions’ share joy challenge 42:

Taylored Expression bunny

i used three of the four colours and followed the sketch to create this thank you card for one of the vets who goes above and beyond in her excellent care of my daughter’s bunny. i watercoloured this little cutie from the Taylored Expressions Easter Doodles set with twinkling H2Os, added some flower soft to the tail and popped it on foam tape.

Make A Wish

the last time i used this adorable teddy image from the Buddly Crafts Birthday Wishes clear stamp set i used neutral colours, so i had fun creating a more feminine card this time.

as usual, i watercoloured with twinkling H2Os and used my favourite banner dies to pop the pennants on foam tape; i love these pretty papers from Studio Light by Janneke Brinkman #17. to finish off the card, i added clear glitter on teddy’s hat stars, glossy accents on the plate and punched stars to the border.

Penny Black And More Mid Month – So Sweet

a tender hug!

i had a lot of fun creating this DT card as a mid-month reminder for the penny black and more challenge; this month we’d like to see anything so sweet – images, food, etc. and to me, this is one of the sweetest penny black hedgie images and it’s called a tender hug! i watercoloured with twinkling H2Os, added yellow stickles to the flower centres and some punched flowers to the memory box corner die. be sure and visit the challenge blog for some creative inspiration from my talented team mates and to see what prizes are available; remember, you can use any company’s stamped image as the focal point, just no digis. thanks for popping by.

Festive Foliage

DSC01211

i painted the background with twinkling H2Os on watercolour paper, then stamped the hero arts holly and painted the leaves with the same twinks and added red stickles to the berries. i used red glitter paper to mat the image and attached it to the paper that i distressed the edges of. i’m submitting this to the christmas at sweet stampin’ challenge theme of festive foliage and the country view crafts challenge theme of painty pleasures. thanks for popping by.

Garden Buggy

mouse riding a pink and green snail with sending you smiles sentiment and pink, yellow and green papers
