i painted the background with twinkling H2Os on watercolour paper, then stamped the hero arts holly and painted the leaves with the same twinks and added red stickles to the berries. i used red glitter paper to mat the image and attached it to the paper that i distressed the edges of. i’m submitting this to the christmas at sweet stampin’ challenge theme of festive foliage and the country view crafts challenge theme of painty pleasures. thanks for popping by.

Funky yet traditional at the same time! Lovely background painting, and I like the red stickles and glitter paper.
Hi Linda,
adorable traditional card, i like the red accents! Thinking of you tomorrow and wish you a good week!

As ever, beautiful H20 work. Love this stamp and your background is superb with the way you chose to color the image. Glitter mat was spot on perfect to highlight your reds, and so was the red snowflake paper. Wonderful. TFS & Hugs.
This is wonderful Linda, love how you made the background with twinkling h2o’s
This is so pretty!
Lovely card, I love the unusual shades of red and green you’ve combined in a distressed kinda way
Thank you so much for leaving a lovely comment on my blog
