My Garden Favourite

card with flourishes hydrangea stamp in blue
this month’s flourishes bring back beautiful challenge is to pick your favorite flower (or fruit or vegetable) and make it the centerpiece of your card or creation. it’s so hard to choose a favourite, but i love the hydrangeas for their big showy pom poms, especially the blue ones, and all the texture. i coloured with distress ink pads and used the out of the box technique to die cut it and of course i had to add blue stickles to the flower centres. the background is tim holtz ranger distress core’dinations paper that i embossed and sanded and i found this clear four petal button in my stash. thanks for popping by.

  1. This is so beautiful! I love how you colored it! The embossing looks fabulous too, and I really like how the sanding makes it look like you sponged with white craft ink. A really gorgeous card!!

  2. Wow. So much detail and the flowers really look 3D. It’s neat how the flowers just carry on in the background design.

  3. Oh wow, this hydrangea looks strikingly beautiful!! Thanks so much for joining us for a Bring Back Beautiful challenge this month :)

  4. Beautifully put together- love the embossed background and sanding down to just the perfect shade of blue! The ribbon accented with that perfect little button is a great touch too!
