i’m playing along with the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 274 and, as usual, mine is a literal interpretation.
i did change one thing though – instead of my usual watercoloured image, i used an MFT blueprint flower die as the focal point. i’ve been practicing making crinoline flowers, thanks to the very talented Tammy Tutterow and her step-by-step tutorial.
the square and this flower are coloured with pink and yellow distress inks that mixed together to create a nice orange, which is my least favourite colour, but this one’s more peachy so i like it. i added flower soft to the die cut centre; i used the Die-Namics Dainty Lace Border Die and decided to not discard the remaining piece and use it to offset the lace. to finish it off, i attached the flower to a MFT stitched circle and added the sentiment.
thanks for popping by.
pretty Linda! I’m hoping to jump in on this challenge too but time just gets away from me! :D
Orange is my favorite colors, so I love this … I must go checkout how to make these beautiful blooms.
Really pretty, warm, cheery card!
Beautiful, I love the colour of the background paper and that wonderful flower. Very nice card.
