Some Birdy

i was really challenged by the current Impression Obsession Challenge – Yellow and Blue but i eventually came up with an idea.

i die cut the birdhouses (IO DIE156-H) from a leftover piece of watercoloured wash, used yellow cardstock and mustard seed distress ink for the birds (IO DIE154-A), and painted the hydrangea (IO DIE044-Y) with blue twinkling H2Os ranging from turquoise to a red blue.

all the die cuts, including the fence (IO DIE206-V), were popped on foam tape and attached to a background sky that i sponged; and of course i sponged yellow and blue to create the green bottom. the inside sentiment (IO A5418 Some ‘Birdy’ Loves You) was stamped and i sponged around the edges with mustard seed distress ink.

i’m also playing along with:

Scrapy Land Challenges – #114 Always Anything Goes with Die Brand SL sells

thanks for popping by.

  1. What a cute, fun, pretty 3D scene! The halo on the inside really adds a special something to the card, too.

  2. Oh, Linda! I love your sweet card. I have a thing for bird houses, and you have really created an adorable little scene here. Congratulations on your win at the IO challenge with this great little card! Hope you will join us for the next one! Hugs, Lynda Joy

  3. Wonderful card design and would have worked for the current challenge too at IO as it has a feathered friends theme.
