Penny Black and More – London Celebrates

card with penny black london calling image and confetti in red, blue and white
it’s the first sunday of the month and this is my DT card for the penny black and more challenge; this month’s theme is London Celebrates in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics. my mother-in-law was a war bride from england and if she were still with us she’d be following all the festivities. i coloured this cute penny black image, ‘london calling,’ with distress inks, made confetti from leftover punched bits and made a flag pole for the banner. you’ll want to see the rest of the Design Team’s very creative cards and remember you don’t have to use a penny black image to play along for a chance to win some fabulous prizes from Penny Black, Stampalot, Crimson Cloud and Crafts U Love. thanks for popping by.

  1. I love the fresh and clean look to your card and the distress ink colouring is perfect. What a great idea to use the punched bits for confetti.

  2. Your card is really great Linda, the phone box is so totally British (although thanks to mobiles we don’t see too many about now) and the flagpole a perfect finishing touch.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
