i had a lot of fun creating my second card as a guest designer for Challenge Up Your Life and the snowman theme for challenge #83.
i love snowmen! i have so many snowmen stamps but i used an older penny black wood stamp, new to me but never used, called skiing snowman from 2004.
i painted everything with twinkling H2Os, watercolour pencils and, for the first time, i played with some of my new Schmincke watercolour paints. definitely a learning curve because i’m so used to my twinks; they have different qualities – transparency, staining and lifting that i’ll eventually get used to.
i finished off this card by adding white flocking to the hat and a glitter mat around the image panel.
so pop over to the challenge to play along with a snowman of your choice!
thanks for popping by.
Great coloring . . . The glittery paper gives this card a slight twist. Love it !
Fabulous colouring and image! Great card!
Love your skiing snowman beautifully coloured and the glitter card just finishes off the card perfectly. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has stamps they have forgotten to use even when they are so cute. I haven’t a snowman in sight probably cause of the lack of snow over here but I have seen lots this year and this one included that make me think I need some. My unused beauties are flower stamps.
Beautiful Winter scene creating and coloring Linda! Love it!
wow this is just stunning – love it so much.
This little guy is probably my favorite snowman stamp, and I haven’t even had a chance to use him recently! Gorgeous card Linda. Sooooo cute!!
Awesome painting, and it’s such a cute, fun card! You should be a professional colourist for books and comics! :)
