Special Delivery At Penny Black And More

we have a new theme for February at the Penny Black and More Challenge and this month we’d like to see your creations featuring Animals, Birds and Butterflies.

i’ve used a wooden penny black stamp called Hedge Delivery, painted everything with twinkling H2Os and added a mat from a scrap of doodlebug paper. i finished it off with two clearly besotted sentiments. playing along is easy; to be eligible for a chance at a prize from one of our generous sponsors just follow the theme and make sure your focal point is a hand stamped image from any company.

I am finally playing along with Pixie’s Snippets Playground – Challenge #370 since i used a scrap of paper for the frame and got a nudge from Di.

thanks for popping by.

  1. Hi Linda! I have to make a confession. We have a ‘Lovely Linda’ who plays in the Snippets Playground and as your name and work is so familiar to me I’m afraid I elbowed you into the Playground thinking you’d been to play before. So sorry if I pressured you. I adore your card, Penny Black always ticks all the boxes and your design and colouring are just perfect. I really must get my H2O’s out and have a play – they languish unloved and your work using them is amazing! Thrilled you joined in and if it’s your first play can you please pop another comment on my blog to confirm or otherwise as I like to mention our new Playmate when I do my fortnightly snippets rollcall :)

We do give our mail man a Christmas treat each year, money in a hand made card – our post delivery guys aren’t very well paid. Our new mail man was obviously quite stunned and made sure to give us a card from him, his wife and their children in return. How sweet was that. Perhaps I ought to give Mrs Grumpy in the Post Office chocolates then? No doubt the other staff would get a share as well.

I do hope you come back to play with us!

    Hugs

    Di xx

  2. Love your soft subtle background and the paper looks like the airmail stripes – perfect. Well done on making it into the playground.
