Twinkling Bokeh

it’s the first of the month and time for a new theme at the house of cards challenge – we’d like you to use the bokeh effect on your creations. if you haven’t already tried it, you can make interesting backgrounds imitating this photography technique.

HOC bokeh

i created my bokeh with twinkling H2Os and sponge daubers on 140 lb. cold press watercolour paper and simply attached the balloons and die cut sentiment.

mynn has provided a written tutorial on the blog today and movies, tips, and more from other DT gals later this month! i hope you’ll try this fun technique and play along! different DT creations are featured every monday so be sure and check them out for more inspiration.

thanks for popping by.

  1. Beautiful card Linda! Your soft Bokeh is fabulous and the balloons and “Just for You” make a great embellishment, they shine on your background but do not take away from it. Donna HOC DT

  2. Hi Linda
I love the way you made your bokeh
so different than the others and so sweet and soft (Others and me too make circle with WHITE pigment ink on it and you made with colors really different ;))
cute balloon too and sweet sentiment

  7. What a grand technique, Linda. I’ve seen some videos on it and looks easy enough. I need to put that on my ‘to do’ list. Definitely CAS and definitely delightful. Love the dies. Hugs Anne
